Rambi Raceway opened in 1958 on Highway 501 outside Myrtle Beach, a half-mile of dirt that got paved in 1974 and became Myrtle Beach Speedway. Cup ran there from 1958 through 1965. Every generation of Pettys took a green flag on that track, and so did three generations of Earnhardts. The land sold to a developer in 2020, the last flag fell that August, and by December 2021 most of the place was scraped off. Sixty-two years of racing, beaten by a survey stake.
