Privacy policy

Last updated October 8, 2026.

Who runs this site. throttleandrust.com is operated by Michael Waltrip Brands. Questions or requests about your information go to kyle@waltripbrands.com.

The short version. There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms here. The site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, ad tracking or pixels, and sells or shares nothing about you, because it collects nothing to sell.

What other services see when you visit. A few outside services help deliver the pages, and like any web request they receive your IP address and basic browser information:

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running, under the GitHub Privacy Statement.

The fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives the request under the Google Privacy Policy.

The Videos page shows thumbnails from YouTube and plays videos in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Until you press play, no YouTube player loads. Once you play a video, YouTube and Google may set cookies and collect viewing information under Google's policies.

If you write to us. When you email any address on this site, the message and your email address are used to read and answer it. They are not added to any mailing list.

Links out. Journal entries, Ghost Tracks and the footer link to other websites and to our social accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube. Those services have their own privacy policies, and what you do there is governed by them.

Children. This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your requests. Since the site itself stores nothing about visitors, most requests come down to email you have sent us. Write to kyle@waltripbrands.com to ask what we have or to have it deleted.

Changes. If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.

About the stories. Caleb, Sarah and the property are fictional. How this is made explains what is invented, what is real, and how a business named on the site can ask to be removed.
